Bay Filly
21/3/19
We are delighted to have purchased this filly privately. A big scopey filly with a lot of presence.
By Golden Horn who was 7 from 9 on the track with wins in the Dante, Derby, Eclipse, Arc and Champion Stakes at Leopardstown he had an exemplary career. Retired to stud in 2016 his first crop are now 3 year olds it’s a hugely exciting time. With the likes of West End Girl (Grp 3 winner) in his progeny he has also produced good handicappers like Stag Horn who is 4 from 6 since stepping up to 1m6f + with an OR of 108. Al Zaraqaan who is 4 from 5 in his career with an OR of 107 and Myseven who is 5 from 9.
The dam Millevini is a half sister to Kingston Hill who himself was Champion Three Year Old Stayer in Europe with wins including the St Leger, Racing Post Trophy and finishing second in the Derby. Millevini has produced 3 foals thus far to have ran with Awesomedude (by Australia) having won his last 5 races at 4.
10/2/22 Golden Vintage made an encouraging debut over a trip that will prove inadequate over time. Shaping with promise in a competitive mile novice containing 3 Godolphin fillies she stayed on and ran all the way through the line in 5th. She’ll come on for that experience both physically and mentally. We will look at another similar race before stepping her up in trip.
18/3/22 Showed improvement for her first run finishing third in a similar affair at Newcastle. Simply being done for pace over the mile.
7/5/22 Her first run on turf at Thirsk this evening where she showed some greenness after 6 weeks off & her first experience of going round a bend again kept to a mile, plugged on past beaten horses she now qualifies for a mark & will duly step up in trip.
After disappointing at Pontefract it was found Golden Vintage had a slight issue with her wind which has now been rectified she will be back on track in due course.
After an excellent comeback run at Southwell she hugely disappointed at Newcastle where she was found to be ill afterwards.
Returning to Newcastle (22/1/23) she duly showed us what she has at home and got off the mark winning by 3 lengths, delighted for everyone’s patience to be rewarded.
